Full Presence Audit · Social Media & Video · Quoted Per Firm

Your website is only one of your advertisements

California's advertising rules reach your social profiles, your Google Business Profile, your paid ads and your videos — not just your website. The Full Presence Audit is a separate social-media and video package: it reviews the channels you actually advertise on, in one findings report of candidates for attorney review. It is not an add-on to the $350 Website Compliance Audit. Firms publish at wildly different volumes, so scope and price are quoted per firm on request.

Free consultation first — you get the scope and the price in writing before you pay anything. No retainer, and no obligation to fix it with us. Website only? The $350 Site Audit is here →

Scope: Automated scanning covers English-language pages. Pages in other languages are routed to human review.

01 — The Exposure

Why your channels are in scope

An audit that stops at your website misses most of your advertising surface. The statute doesn't stop there — and neither do complainants.

Monitors, laptop and phone displaying a law firm's website and marketing analytics side by side
Every channel, one review
  • 1
“Advertisement” includes your posts.B&P Code §6157 defines an advertisement as any communication — written, recorded or electronic, to the public or even a limited group — that encourages hiring a lawyer. A social post soliciting cases qualifies. So does your Google Business Profile description.
  • 2
Your bio gets no space exception. The statute's link-out accommodation for character-limited platforms applies only to joint advertisements run by a §6155(g) joint advertiser. An individual firm's Instagram bio or X profile still owes the full mandatory disclosures.
  • 3
Your videos play by the TV rules. The electronic-media statutes (B&P §§6158–6158.3) cover “computer networks” by definition. Case results presented out of context and messages about money recovered are presumed deceptive — and dramatizations or result portrayals require disclosure statements.
  • 4
Your ads are public record.Meta's Ad Library and Google's Ads Transparency Center let anyone — including a would-be complainant — browse every ad you're running. No login, no cost. If they can review your ads, so should you.
  • 5
Same damages, per unique advertisement.Section 6157.2(c) permits a consumer who was misled by a violating advertisement to seek specified remedies only after the prescribed complaint, a State Bar substantial-evidence determination, and the advertiser's failure to withdraw as provided or later rebroadcast. Statutory damages may range from $5,000 to $100,000 per unique advertisement, or three times actual damages, whichever is larger — and after a substantial-evidence finding, an electronic advertisement can be withdrawn within 72 hours. Counsel review required.
02 — The Review

What we review

Every channel is checked against the same rulebook as our separate Website Compliance Audit — SB 37 (B&P §§6153–6158.7), the Rules of Professional Conduct 7.1–7.5, the electronic-media statutes and practice-area disclosure rules — using one master checklist, so a finding means the same thing wherever it appears.

Caption promises a outcome for injury clients — candidate for attorney review: outcome-guarantee language; no responsible-attorney disclosure appears on the profile.

Compliant-wording example (general): for outcome language in a profile bio, compliant marketing usually describes experience and process rather than promising results, with the required attorney and office-location disclosures present — your counsel can confirm what fits your firm.

04 — Questions

Full Presence FAQ

How is this different from the $350 Site Audit?
The Site Audit covers your website — a scan of up to 500 pages checked by human quality control, flat $350. The Full Presence Audit is a separate social-media and video package: it reviews your social profiles, Google Business Profile and directory listings, active paid ads, and YouTube videos in one consolidated report, quoted per firm on request. It is not an add-on to the Site Audit; many firms buy both. If your marketing is website-only, the Site Audit is the right buy.
Do you need my logins or ad-account access?
No. Everything is reviewed exactly the way a regulator or complainant would see it — from public view. Your active ads are already public record in Meta's Ad Library and Google's Ads Transparency Center. When you request the audit we'll confirm your website address and channel handles by email; that's all we need.
What counts as a “channel profile”?
Each social profile (a Facebook page, an Instagram account, a LinkedIn company page, a TikTok or X account), your Google Business Profile, and each directory listing (like Yelp or Avvo) counts as one. Tell us which ones you actually advertise on during the consultation — the profiles you name, plus your active ads and your YouTube channel, are what the quote is built on.
I advertise on a lot of channels. Does that change the price?
Yes. A firm running one Instagram account and a firm running five profiles, a video channel and constant paid ads are not the same job, and one price for both is unfair to somebody. Tell us what you run and we will quote your scope in writing before you commit to anything.
What about email newsletters and text campaigns?
They're advertisements under §6157 too. The audit covers your publicly viewable channels; email and SMS campaigns can be included in your quote — mention them in the consultation and we'll scope it.
Do I have to hire you to fix the findings?
No. The report is written so your own team — or whoever runs your social and ads — and your counsel can see exactly what our review matched and where. If you'd rather we handle it, our marketing packages include ongoing compliance review as standard, but the audit comes with zero strings.
Is this legal advice?
No — Lawthentics is a marketing agency, not a law firm. The audit is a marketing-compliance review against California's published attorney-advertising rules. For legal questions about your specific exposure, consult ethics counsel; our report gives them a running start.
How do I stay compliant after the audit?
Marketing changes — every new post, ad and page is new exposure. Compliance Monitoring — planned, with pricing to be announced — will re-scan your website monthly and deliver a change report. Compliance review is included as standard in every Lawthentics marketing package.
